Depends on what you drink, although from your other posts I suspect you already know that. For anybody else who’s interested.
Two people can get well and truly paralytic on one fishbowl at between 35 and 50 YTL (£14 – £20), The one we tend to get has a full bottle of Vodka as the base spirit, with other alcoholic ingredients added later. We drink a lot of local spirits and when the staff get to know you they get stronger and stronger so the price of the night tends to go down a bit as the holiday progresses.
Price of a pint varies from £1.30 to £2.00 but Efes is quite a bit stronger than most UK beers (Efes Dark is 7.5% alcohol) so it goes further.
We expect to pay around £30 each for a good night out, with food and whatever we want to drink, although we’re fairly lightweight drinkers we do include imported spirits in that if we want them. Also we tend to eat in bars/restaurant where they know us in the evenings, so that tends to hold the price down a bit as the quantity of booze in the glass is quite high. Food of the same quality in the UK would cost us best part of £30 each for the food alone with no booze included.
Drink in the clubs on Bar street and god only knows what the prices are like.
In the Uk we can expect a meal between £50 and £60 for two then the booze on top of that.
In marmaris, we get the meal (very good quality) and two to three drinks each for about £50. This is eating in the good restaurants not the “two for £10″ type establisments of which there are many!
Just drinking, the stronger booze but higher prices than we pay in the north east tends to even itself out, so boozing works out about the same.
