Foreign Travelers Attention! Check Out Important Visa Information
Are you planning to visit Turkey from another country? The first that your know about is Visa details. Turkey is a popular beach destination and the Britons usually pay a fee of £10 on arrival for a Visa stamp in their passport. However, the process has changed after April 10 and now you have to make online application to get electronic Visa prior traveling.

The cost of electronic visa or e-visa is same £10. While applying you have to provide all the details such as name, passport details, place and date of birth and email address. The e-visa will be emailed and you have to take a print of hard copy, which you will be presenting on arrival to immigration.
However, you have to be aware of the unauthorized websites that may ask for additional charges on application fees for the Visas, informed the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. They have rather advised the travelers to check details at www.evisa.gov.tr, which is the official government Turkey website. This only charges flat fee of £10 for 90 days including multiple entry visa.
According to the warning issued by the Foreign Office, the unauthorized websites may charge for submitting applications and e-visa related information. The Turkish government does not associate with these sites, so the travelers must be careful.

Many travel agents and travelers are ignorant about this new e-visa application system, which is already available. In fact, it is the responsibility of the travel agents to make holidaymakers informed about this new policy before they plan the trips, according to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).
A spokesperson of ABTA revealed that it is mandatory to apply for visa online after April 10 to the travelers planning trips in Turkey from a foreign land. She revealed that people who have not booked through the members of ABTA may not know about the latest requirement and could be denied to enter Turkey.
For the Britons, Turkey is one of the best destinations for holidaying and for package holidays, the market is excellent.

According to the Turkish Consulate, until April 10 2014, the application of Banderole and Stamp visa will continue along with online application at the border gates to enter Turkey. Moreover, this process is not hard and just takes ten minutes maximum.
It is mandatory post April 10, 2014 to get e-visa through e-Visa Application System (www.evisa.gov.tr) for every foreign travelers. It means there must be separate e-visas for kids and infants as well irrespective of that fact that they are included in the passports of their parents.
Only if you are traveling Turkey for tourism this e-visa will be valid. One must apply through Consulates or Embassies for other purposes such as study or work.
